I'm always honest with him as to who I talk to, but I didn't tell him I had slept with the guy he knows I speak to as "friends". It's only happened once but it happened and i feel I need to tell him. Do you tell him in a suttle way or bluntly say something like that to a person that loves you. I don't feel the same for him as I used to, and I wonder if it's because i feel something for this other guy. The thing is my 7 yr. boyfriend is or was now for 3 weeks an alcoholic and wants to change now that I feel it's too late. What should I do. In everything I do I see this other guy who makes me laugh and we did start out as friends but it became more one night when my boyfriend and I had split up. We've had problems this whole time we've been together and most of it was because of the drinking, but now that he wants to stop I wonder if telling him will make him depressed and want to start drinking again. I think it's still to early to tell he's only been sober for 3 wks.

I'm always honest as well with my hubby. I cheated on him twice, and he kept me. I don't think I deserve to be here, because what I done was wrong. I say you should tell him. Maybe he will keep you and maybe since you have feelings for this other guy, maybe you should split from your bf and go with him. Amber

You need to be honest with him - especially if you have feelings for this other guy you slept with. Tell him when you think the time is right - if you think he might relapse when you tell him, keep in mind you can't control what he does. If he drinks whenever bad or important things happen - he really needs to get into a program and/or counseling.

Leave. Plain and simple. Dont tell him you cheated, dont tell him its because of his drinking. Does he want to marry you? If not then you have a perfect out. Just find a no nonsense way to break up. That blames nobody.

I wouldn't tell him anything about it. Just break up with him for other reasons and then say you never had any thing to do with the other guy while you were with him. He doesn't really need to know the truth, it will just hurt him.

Yes you need to be honest and tell him. It will be up to him how he responds. He needs to go to AA... I would separate for a while though and slow things down for sure and start from square one again!

If you really feel bad, then DON'T TELL HIM!, that would make maters 200 times worse, if your sorry just never do it again, ever it is really that simple. If he ask's for the truth, LIE!,YOUR MARRIAGE WILL LAST IF YOU DO, DON'T ADD MISSTRUST BY TELLING THE TRUTH, IT HARDLY EVER WORKS.
