A 99 cent gallon of white vinegar will do the trick. Just mix a cup of vinegar to a quart of water, put it in a spray bottle and hit the roots. It will kill everything it touches from grass to weeds.

If a small area old Diesel fuel or old gas(don't light) old oil,salt solution,white vineger solution,hot water(boiling hot)
