The entire Romanoff family has been found save that of two of the children...the Crown Prince Alexi and of course Anastasia. The rest have been interred in Peterhoff with thier royal relatives in the Royal Burial Vaults.
When I was in my 20's, (I'm now 49) I met a relative, the Baroness Dehuick, Foundress of Madonna House, In Combermere Ontario. I had only a brief vist with "The B" as she was known, before her death, but she to seemed unsure about the fate of these two Royal Cousins.
If either are alive now, they would be well on in years, but those final days would be forever a period of great sorrow, and it is my hope and prayer they were able to get beyond those dark black days and find peace.

Anna Anderson (the woman in the movie "Anastasia") was proven by genetics to not be Anastasia.
A few years ago they found the mine shaft that the royal family was dump into. Also using genetics it was confirmed that it was the Romanov family. However, two people were missing - Alexei (the son) and one of the daughters. They're not sure which daughter is missing.

They did a DNA test on the best possible candidate a few years ago and found there was no way she could have been related to the tzar's family.
That was a disappointment because I always wanted to believe that story. But I think it's likely the real Anastasia died with her family.

If you are asking whether or not she escaped from the palace after the Bolsheviks killed her family I do not know. I know the woman who claimed she was Anastasia Romanov was said by many childhood friends to know things that noone else could possibly know, but than many family members said she could not be Anastasia... but of course, I'm sure they'd say that if they had a stake in the family fortune lol

The woman who claimed to Anastasia if not her had to have been someone who knew her and the family intimately. She also bore a lot of gunshot wounds in the torso and rest of her body she claims happened when the family was assassinated. But because of lack of DNA evidence as she was cremated no way to know.
