The farmers of old put their money in jars and buried them at the fence posts.

Go to rundown and abandoned farm yards.Ask permission of course but look around the area of the out buildings.Thats is where any spilled coins or buries boxes would be found.

After any event at a park. I saw an man doing this after a park cleared when the event was done. Imagine the things you could possibly find after thousands or even millions of people have trudged through there.

In a parking lot, bike/running trail (all that jostling going on and you're bound to lose something) and around picnic benches at the forest.

The beach is great because many go there and often lose their change and jewlery. Like me! :(
