I have had a lump on my right breast for a couple of years now, it is not malign which is why I opted not to remove it when I first discovered it (I'm also very scared of surgery); but lately it has been hurting, especially when I do activities like writing too much, typing, or using the mouse. What I would like to know is if someone has had a similar experience and had opted for surgery and if so, did surgery help or did the pain continue afterwards?

Seek medical attention if it is becoming painful. Something else could be going on. If the lump is not malignant, removing it should not be a problem

You definitely have to have a doctor check it out but the thing that confuses me is if its on your breast how come it hurts when you are writing or using the mouse? How are your hands related to your chest?

dont know how u know its malignant without a biopsy for definant diagnosis. which if i was u i would defiantly have it removed and diagnosed by a dr ....would be alot easier than to find out later that is was cancer and have to have a mystectomy and cause further chance of it spreading.

If its hurting, you should get to a doc to get it checked ASAP.

He or She will then tell you what you should do.

Its better than guessing about it.
