Could someone please settle an arguement for me?! Was Elvis's mum- an Cheokee Indian??- if so , ths makes him mixed race then does'nt it? My friend does not believe me- but i'm sure i'm right.......

His great grandmother was full-blooded Cherokee, and he is also related to Abe Lincoln.
In terms of his other ancestry, Scotch-Irish primarily, along with Jewish.

Hello, thanks for writing. Elvis had Native American ancestry (though there is some dispute as to the exact lineage), and his bloodline has been traced back to Scotland (but that has also been questioned). Others claim his family came from England. It's all open to debate, I suppose. But, simply stated, Elvis's nationality was American, as he was born in Mississippi.

I just asked someone older than me--they said they never heard any such thing. Why don't you do a search on the Presley family? I'm sure you'll find out what her maiden name was, and then you can search her. :)

No Elvis had no Cherokee in him. He was primarily of German ancestry. His Mother madien name was Smith.
