Yes, I love beer, the taste, the smell and I'm not talking about Budlight or Millerlight. I'm assuming that you are young 21ish, at that age I would chase a sip of beer with pop but could take down 8 shots of gin with nothing, needless to say I acquired a taste for beer that grew into an appreciation for it. So I would say there are many reason to get rocked but your assumption is 90% true.

ingesting alcohol with out having inebriated is often for the style. you do not choose bottles of a few thing only to get a sturdy style. a lot of people like having one glass of wine on the top of the day. that's soothing and tastes sturdy to them.

You're right, but I do love the taste of beer and Jack and coke. Oh, and a Colorado Bulldog, oh, and a Buttery Nipple. Actually there are quiet a few that I drink for the taste....oh well.

That's one thing I noticed about beer. You almost have to drink 4 or 5 before you stop tasting it cuz it tastes just so wrong.
