Currently in the American League:
1. David Ortiz 56 RBI's
2. Jim Thome 55 RBI's
3. Travis Hafner 55 RBI's
4. Vernon Wells 54 RBI's
5. Vlad Guerrero 52 RBI's
But you have to take into account that Ortiz and Thome are in better teams than Hafner, Wells and Guerrero. So given that if you place Hafner, Wells and Guerrero in better line-ups they would have even more RBI's. So yes, Hafner is one of the best run producers in the AL.

Not by a long shot. Try Pujols out. Year in and year out. Hafner has to be around for a while for that claim. There are a lot of players who have a great year and then go nowhere the next. Let's see where he is in, say, 2008 with his numbers.

He is one of the tops...but if you are going on pure statistics, the best HR to AB ratio in the majors is:
Albert Pujols (1 HR every 8.2 at bats)
2nd is Jason Giambi at 1 HR every 9.9 at bats...Hafner is up there, but he is 1 every 12.3 at bats

hafner is awesome but butt ugly....his head looks so huge....i would have to go with even though i hate them with all my heart david ortiz and manny are better....to be honest somebody really has to knock ortiz down....he looks so comfy at the plate that he could take a nap and still get a hit....some pitcher needs to get some balls and brush him back....every time he comes to bat versus the yanks, i pray that whoever is pitching would knock him down..i still cannot believe that no one in all of baseball has not knocked him down yet....bring back old time baseball!!!

I know Travis personally and that boy can mash. I watch him in the cages in the winter and he can crush a ball. He will have the numbers to prove it at the end of the season.

Ok, enough is enough, first off to answer your question, David Ortiz is as of right now, secondly, people need to get over Pujols, he was out, which hurt his chances, stop dwelling on what could have happened if....
