You should ask your doctor, but I've heard that strengthening your abdominal muscles can sometimes eliminate the need for surgery. Of course, this is only if it is caught early. Once it's progressed to a point, surgery probably cannot be avoided.

1. It coud get srangulated causing you to lose part of you intestine in the same surgery you are avoiding.

2. Its very painful.

3. It could start hurting at any time and embarass you.

Your guts could fall out on the floor at the most inopportune time. Have seen it happen, very messy, very embarrassing. If you do not have the surgery, use copious amounts of duct tape.

the hernia can get bigger or can get caught and strangulate which then means life threatening urgent surgery

hernia repairs are now very easy operations with very quick recovery times - this is unlikeley to repair on its own so I suggest you get it done
