It sounds like my computer is constantly searching for something. It takes a long time for me to click on a link in my firefox browser.

Once you have eliminated the possibility of viruses or spyware, you can run a Memory Diagnostics that may help you figure out what is slowing down your computer. You can find instructions for that here:
http://oca.microsoft.com/en/windiag.asp

Also, you may want to look in your start-up folder (start-all programs-start up) and make sure that there is nothing there that you don't want. The fewer programs here, the better.

Cleaning your registry may also help. I use a program called RegVac and it works great. You can download it here:

Feel free to contact me if you need any additional help!

There are lots of reasons why this could be happening. You could have viruses and spyware or may just need your hard drive defragmented. There could also be failing hardware, but essentially the place to start is removing your spyware:

To free up memory, u just need to uninstall unnecessary programs or files downloaded on ur computer..go to control panel and click add or remove programs.remove those programs that ur not using anymore. Also, please delete temporary internet files saved on ur computer
=open IE;click tools>internet options>delete cookies then delete files>clear history then hit ok........
Better yet, call your ISP especially if ur using high speed, it might be a line problem..
