I miss it. We used to sit around and play drinking games, trying to guess which video would come up next.

Anyone who enjoyed what MTV use to be about misses the golden era. These days you have to get extra cable channels to get the musi channel, unfornunately there are 20 videos that are in constant rotation on those channels. There use to a channel called "The Box" in some locations that ONLY played music videos and you could call in and request to see videos. Those were the days!

Yea... no music on Music Television...
DUMB!
And when they do play music (TRL) they only play like 1/3rd of the song.
All MTV is now is shows/commertials and other crap wanting you to buy stuff you dont need.
Even the music videos are about selling you stuff now.
Lame.
People in TV land need to learn that we like music, not giving them money.

MTV was great in the 1980s and early 1990s, but when the whole "Real World" thing began, it started to go downhill. That started the reality trend and it led us to where MTV is today.

True, they are called Music television, but its a rare occurence to see actual music being played anymore, and TRL doesnt even play the whole video, only a portion!

MTV news, VJ's we all had crushes on, and music. Sigh. Every once in a while an off-color "adult" cartoon, and all the rest was music. All the junk they put on now doesn't belong on MusicTeleVision. It should be on SluteySlackerLoserTeleVision

i dont.the new mtv gives you a balance music and television.i was kinda getting tired of music 24hrs a day.if you want extra music get mtv 2 or much more music channel
