NO they shouldn't be ordering it ESPICALLY after the homeplate Umpire issued a warning. If it is done by the pitcher that is simply how things go and THAT is part of baseball.

I don't think the coaches ever order a pitcher to throw at somebody, it is an unwritten rule in baseball that if another pitcher throws at one of your guys, then its your job at as a pitcher to throw at one of there batters.

Of course!

1) It's part of the game. If you're scared of the ball, get the hell out of the batters box, and

2) It could save on a pitcher's pitch-count. Screw the intentional walk...get it over in 1 pitch instead of 4!

Absolutely not. Suppose the batter is seriously hurt, or never comes back. Is it worth a career? Low and inside a brush back maybe but for a coach to actually say hit him, no way!

no one is "allowed" to order such a thing, no one is "allowed" to do such a thing, but the reality is that it's part of the game. no one intentionally throws at a batter, it's a pitch that got away, of course! but a player can be ejected for intentionally throwing at a batter.

No way!.. Do you know how much you can injury a person with this type of techinque? Play fair!

Oh yea, I kinda would know as my coach made ( forced me, asked me) to do this. I felt so bad afterwards that I would not pitch again for him.
