All the freaking time. I can hold a conversation for hours with myself. I don't know if I need to go and get some help. Because the really bad part about it is. The conversation does not take place in my head. I am actually talking out loud to myself. Example:
"What am I going to do today?"
"I don't know?"
"Should I go get drunk"
"Yeah I think that's what I'm going to do"
Hold on. It doesn't sound that weird. As long as you always keep your self in the first person. Now if some one says We....blahh, bla, bla. They might need some help.

Seriously, I realize it sounds crazy, but I have such a crazy life I forget where I put things sometimes and I asked a Doctor friend of mine if he had any ideas on how I sould more easily make myself remember things. He told me to say it outloud when I place something somewhere. That is the only time I talk to myself, but it has actually helped me remember where I place things, but my sister talks to herself, alot, and I am creeped out by it.

That is funny! I find myself talking to my self a lot. I work in a office that has two rooms I am in the back room so I can not see who is in the front one and I do alot of paperwork and sometimes I will be talking out loud thinking no one is in the front office and then I hear papers shuffle It can be so embarrissing sometimes but yes it strange.

I talk to myself all the time.
It helps me consentrate. Like when I'm working on coding a hard program... or working up an arrangement to a song... I'll "talk out" the chord changes...
I can "do it in my head"... but the process of hearing it in the room, does seem to help. You're welcomed to think it's crazy... but it sure works for me.

Yeah.. I talk to myself all the time.. and b4 you ask... yes I answer myself too. I actually have complete conversations with myself when I am trying to work something out or when I am upset. Some of my husband's and my best arguments are when I am alone.. Guess who wins???

it's called self-actualization. Excuse the terminology.I will say, sometimes we need to speak a thing aloud, that makes it real to us. I then would say that when you vocalize a problem or concern, then you can fix it or work it out. It's hard to believe it , but it will keep you sane.Laugh out loud at yourself sometimes, it will keep you happy...

I talk to myself ALL THE TIME...I learn or understand things better if I tell them to myself. Thinking out loud is very common. If anyone has a conversation with themselves...then there is a weird thing going on.

Lots of people think out aloud. This is a form of talking to yourself.
