The Tigers are for real.
If they play .500 ball the rest of the season they will win 91 games.
Not good enough to win the Central Division, but maybe the wild card.
The Tigers are for real; made no mistake.
They are not going to go away.
But, as I said, not good enough to dethrone The World Champion Chicago White Sox.

Detroit's lineup is stacked. All the players are well developed players that the Tigers organization has been grooming for some time now. They will continue to bring in runs.
The big question is whether or not the pitching can hold up. They have a marginal rotation that is doing very well right now, and they have some pretty consistent closers in Rodney and Jones.
The long summer will be the test. It's going to be one heck of a race with the White Sox.

They will keep it up as long as they keep their spirit up and never give up no matter how tough things get over the course of the season. That is how the New York Mets (ninth in 1968, won the World Series in 1969) did it.

They will keep up this amazing performance. The Mets and Yankees will fall, but not the Tigers. This year they are for real. I am a Red Sox fan, but it would be good for baseball if the Tigers win it all!!

Deetroit has been very impressive. They are keeping my White Sox at bay. But their youngsters will have to come back down to earth. I predict the Sox will finish first, Cleveland 2nd and Deetroit next year. But they sure have a bright future and a great manager.

I dont watch baseball like I used too but the tigers usually come out the underdog.. Who knows though- I've seen crazy thing happen in sports- if they make it to the world series I will probably go into shock.

I think that anyone that can have such good record almost half way thru the season is legit. Including the Mets, who i think will play the tigers in the world series.

the detroit pitchers are playing way over their head.
their underlying statistics are worse than the raw run totals say.
look for a regression in the second half.

Detroit's gonna collapse like everything else in the Mitten. Sure they look good now, but it won't last.
