The simple answer is that you can not get your boss to do his job. He is the boss. You can only lose this battle. Just do th best job that you can do and someday you will be rewarded. Take on more of his duties and someday you may have his position. Just remember how you felt when he "made" you do his job.

You cant ..............he knows his job and wants you to do it...........................I guess that's called a boss............the only way................. is to get him to get someone else to do it....instead of you
