certainly that's possible. i think the only way one would know for sure is if one new a board member or someone high up in the org.
wouldn't surprise me since baptist and mercy still haven't begun any real renovations. plus when you factor in the population now they may feel that it would be difficult to make a profit.
healthcare here is not quite what it needs to be currently and we could sure use an extra e.r. based on the wait times and b/c other hospitals (charity, tenet & university) are closed.

I have heard the same rumor about Northshore in Slidell. I find the rumors in the healthcare industry generally turn about to be true for some reason. They may take awhile to come to fruition but for the most part they are correct. I guess those kinds of activities are hard to keep quiet.
