Three drops of Mrs. Smith's Bluing for Extra Whiteness will do the trick. You can find it at most discounters in the laundry aisle. A bottle will last you a lifetime, too.

I agree with the Oxy Clean answer but before you use it in your washer it's best to wash at least one load with oxy and hot water through your washer without clothes in it first. The oxy cleans the crud out of the washer and deposits it back on your clothes so before putting white sheets in there run an empty cycle with oxy first. Wipe out the washer you'll see what I mean. Use hot water and oxy and let the sheets set in there a while before funishing the load.

I agree with Tab - hang them out in the sunshine to dry. This is not the best way to dry colors since the sun will fade things but that's why it works for whites and doesn't harm the fibers the way bleach does.

You can gp to the store and get products for blueing (to counteract the yellow cast you see) or something with sodium bicarbonate. You should be able to find both in your local stores.

I've heard baking soda and a splash of soda water works. Hopefully it will work, won't hurt to try.
