Here is how I think of it, if you think about something that doesn't exist, you just made it exist by thinking about it. Nothing is something, and something could not be nothing. Have a pleasant day.

Well, I think not. Everything that we think is an exact output of all the minuscule inputs of life. That's why you can't imagine a completely new color (stupid people will say they can). The brain remembers and deduces, but it never ever invents. So if you think about something that means it already exists.
It is even in the very question!! It's like a paradox: "is it possible to think about something that does not exist," well, the fact that you are thinking about it makes it existent, so NO, it is not possible.
And then again, you might say, we think about unicorns and Lindsey Lohan's brain, and they don't exist! But we didn't completely make them up; our brains recycled ideas and situations and everything. A unicorn is just a horse with a phallic object on his forehead. And as for Lindsey Lohan with a brain... well, that IS sort of original--but it's nevertheless recycled material.
Now, I'm taking it that the "doesn't not exist" bit was a typo. But if you actually DID mean "Is it possible to think about something that exists?" then yeah, it IS possible.
Stay away from philosophy--it has consumed me.

yes it's possible... that's what imagination and dreams are good for!
also, you can feel the existence of things through the effects of these things.... scientists never got to see an electron for example, they could just make an experiment and saw its effect!
Spiritually speaking, one can feel the existence of certain people even they do not exist (they're dead)... that's scary.. but not all the time! it can be a good feeling or a sad one depending on the kind of relationship you had with that person. Another good example, is thinking about God, no one has ever seen God ... but still people can feel His existence, through the world, nature, through what they feel deep in their hearts... things don´t have to be "physically" perceived to exist!

Great double negative!

If something 'doesn't not' exist then it exists.

Just because something exists it doesn't mean that said something can be thought about because it may not necessarily have been discovered by anyone.

Therefore it is not possible to think about anything merely as a consequence of its existence.

Sure we see that all the time. People think that the government really cares about them. That's the best example of thinking of something that doesn't exist that I can come up with

If you meant "doesn't not exist" then how about a nice juicy Granny Smith. If you meant 'does not exist' then just have a look at a Terry Pratchett book. Turtles with elephants and disc worlds on there backs, Primate librarians, it's all a bit woo.

Everything existing whether we know it or not, believe in it or not. If it does not it cannot even appear in your imagination. If it is imaginable as non-existent quantity it just confirm existence of its counterpart which exist somehow, somewhere, just look for it and you'll find.

People do it all the time. Look at your science fiction movies, video games. There is no such thing as the creatures shown on Star Wars, or some of the other science fiction. It opens room for our imagination is all.

Due to your double negative sentance you would be thinking of something that does exist so the answer is yes.
