Take a speed reading course! There are now computer programs you can purchase that will help you read faster.
By learning to read faster it increases your comprehension levels. Then the more you read the more you learn. Thus increasing your ability to adapt your learning levels. IQ is actually a way to test your comprehension level. If you learn faster and can retain that knowledge you increase your IQ! But if you don't do the work to increase your IQ, by taking a speed reading course for example, you aren't going to go anywhere. This is the only way to really make a difference. You are born with a certain IQ level. Only by doing the hard work to learn and expand your knowledge can you do anything to change it!
I took a speed reading class in school and it changed my life!

In theory, anyway, your IQ isn't something you would raise. IQ is supposed to measure your capacity for learning or being smart, if you want to look at it that way. This is why you theoretically can give a meaningful IQ test to a kindergartner; it isn't like your IQ is 50 as a small child, and goes up with time.
Now how much value there is in an IQ number, and how reliable a measure it is, is a fine question. But that is the idea; you wouldn't improve your IQ, though you might "become smarter" or "learn more", neither should change your IQ.

That depends on what you understand by IQ. Y found a “formula” for the IQ as a report between your intellectual age and your physical age, multiply by 100. In this case it will help to mature faster on intellectual level. For a very young child, this can mean various experiences, starting whit games (perhaps not computer games, as socials skills are important and difficult to develop later). Reading will help more then TV because imagination is exercised. But it seems that there is a genetic component of IQ. :) It may also help to declare yourself younger. Live faster as in “learn more then the others from the same experiences” or just try to experience more.

your IQ is generally not a trivia quiz. while reading will help to answer basic knowledge questions, it won't raise your total score more than just a few points. The IQ test is actually how well you retain information, and cognitive thinking skills and critical thinking.
