Jesus say call no one father or teacher, catholic call there priest father, and has schools, so therefore they have teacher, and the complain about the separation, of church and school. he criticize the establishment of churches, in calling them hypocrite, and saying they like to set at places of importance, and adorning themselves with thing and putting on big shows and praying long prayers, they wear robes, they own TV shows, and pray as thus' its no tomorrow, and the always want to be in the limelight, Jesus tells us to be perfect, churches say no one is perfect other than he, he say turn the other cheek, they fight back (DaVinci Code thing), he says don’t persecute no one, they persecute everyone, gays, abortion, ect, then the Jesus say that people are in the street hunger and with out clothes, while the church build large buildings, he says be kind to your neighbor, and treat the aliens as you would treat each other, they start crusading. And there’s like a hundred other things they don’t follow.

And Christianity is not strict, people mad it that way, I think Jesus would have rather for us to respect each other than create a religion for him

thats the thing about homosexuality and abortion, you know cast the first stone, they are already suffering, we just dont need to make their lives more dificult, we should behave a Humans, and not people, think about it, in fact just say human, and your understanding shifts, if you say people, so what, people are groups, and human is a inter being, to condemn another, would be like shooting ourselves would be like, just think about how we would be if we all regard each other as humans, and perfect, another thing is we use are inabilty to be perfect, as a reason to sin, "no one is perfect but jesus, or We all fall Short,"these to me are all excuses to sin, and be imperfect, so I choose to be perfect and regard all as the same, so that I have no reason to sin

Because everyone interprets the Bible differently. Christianity has been divided into so many different parts over the years. Some Christians believe the Bible literally, word for word, whereas others believe it full of metaphors. I believe that if Jesus were alive today, he wouldn't be stopping by all of our churches telling us what good Christians we are, or giving prizes to the best Christians, or threatening people who aren't Christians. I believe he would be volunteering at homeless shelters, hospices for AIDS patients, prisons, and other places where people need understanding and compassion. And you know what? Some would disagree with him, and we would kill him all over again. I also believe that as humans we are flawed and that is what makes us love each other. I get frustrated, too, when humans persecute others in the name of God. If Jesus were alive today, I don't believe he would carry a "I hate fags" sign, or live in a fancy house, or bomb anyone.

I believe people have a herd like instinct, what ever the people around them are doing they will more than likely do. Is it better to fit in or to stand out? think about it, in the animal kingdom if you stood out you would be dead. some predator would get you. In the spiritual walk it isn't much different. If you have an opinion and share it in a conventional church, you may be shunned or ridiculed. That is something most people are afraid of.
Ignorance and tradition are the two worst killers of Christianity in my book. If you have an opinion share it, if you're wrong it is a great opportunity to learn and if your right it's a great opportunity to teach.
Love the sinner, hate the sin. Simple to say, difficult to live.
The church is in the world. the world will rub off on the church.
If you drop food in a dung heap, it still would be food, but would you want to eat it.

Individually they may try, then they realized that it is easier to say than to do . So they getting together and pretending that what they formed is what Jesus said. That is Christianity. Well any other religious structures perform the same. Actually there is one secret, that what Jesus said cannot be achieved in crowd, only alone, often in solitude, where any kind of socializing is forgotten and forgiven phantom. Christianity preaching that Christians must "do" His saying. So far there is no evidence that someone succeed by doing so. Jesus never did what he preached HE WAS THAT. People can only BE that, where doing is last in a line, and definitely, not significant or important in an eye of beholder.

The main reason is because the bible is full of contradictions. an eye for an eye, turn the other cheek, and let vengence be mine sayeth the lord...... Each person folowing the bible can take what they want out of it and run with it. if you really want a head trip, look at the dates of religious holidays in both Chrisitanity and Wicca... That'll really make you think. the majority of the things that the catholic/christians or any other religion do against their beliefs is because it is interpreted as right by a priest and told to them in mass. If every one of them actually read the bible and (god forbid) interpreted it for themselves, we might have more giving and loving people out there.

Those who persecute others and put others down are not following the footsteps of Jesus Christ. Jesus came in love not hate. He hates no one and we are to do the same. Sin is bad...God hates sin...but He does not hate the sinner. There is only one church... the Bride of Christ.. everyone who serves Christ and lives a life that He calls them to live is a part of that church, wherever in the world they may be. Yes we do fall short and mess up and get caught up in the world and how it does things (being mean to people, not doing as Christ said, etc.), but because of Christ's death, we can be forgiven. If God is guiding someone, if they are truly listening to His voice, then they are striving with everything within them to live according to his Holy Word.
I am sorry that you have gotten such a horrible portrayal of Christianity and I wish that I could tell you more, but Christ came on a mission of love. He wanted to bring God's love to the world. Yes, He hates sin, but He does not and never has hated the sinner.

As for the whole "call no one father", I think that was not meant literally - it was more the spirit of the message.
As for being hypocrites - EVERYONE in power or authority oversteps their bounds, for no one is perfect.
And why Christians don't act according to the word - most Christians have never read the entire New Testament, and most who have don't have 100% comprehension - I know I don't. Most people don't know that Christians cannot divorce and re-marry.
Many trust authority (doctors, lawyers, and PASTORS) just like the Jews did in the old days - God had to raise up one among them to gain their obedience and faith.

I, as a Christian, have accepted that we, as humans, are going to make mistakes. No one is perfect, and everyone will fall short of the Glory of God, but we also have to learn that we cannot use that as an excuse. I, myself, am learning as I go. I make mistakes, but as people we should learn from them to try to make ourselves better people. But another thing is, everyone just points out Christians faults, such as "Why Don't Christians obey God....etc." THe thing is, it isn't just "us" Christians, it's everyone! Everybody makes mistakes, no one is perfect. From what I read of the other answers to your question, everyone is right is some way or another, such as the guy who said, concentrate on yourself and not others. It bugs me, with Organized religion, when people point out other people's mistakes, but don't point out their own. I'm sticking with the same answer,........ We are not perfect, and we never will be.... God knows this.

Are you just speaking of Catholic christians or christians in general?
Anyway. Perhaps this question should be asked of all religious ideologies AND Non religious ideologies ( I'll leave the second half of that up to your interpretation because I don't believe there is such a thing as a person with out a religion because you believe in one thing or another whether or not you believe in a supreme being)
Why are there scores of thousands of Christian (muslim, buddism, jainism, taoism, hinduism, etc..) denominations and sects?
The apostolic writings of Paul to the Ephesians it was expressly stated one body( of believers) and only one spirit...their is one faith, one lord, one baptism, Why so many denominations? Are any of them the original christian church established by Jesus Christ?
Why did the Lord send forth the Apostles to teach?
and why don't we have apostles anymore?
Why don't we have prophets anymore? I thought God was no respector of persons. I thought, at least as I understood the bible that God always sends a prophet to give very explicit and specific instruction to his children on how to treat one another and how to return to him.
Jesus did tell us to be perfect even as our Father in Heaven is perfect.
How could we possibly do that?
Didn't Jesus give us the example of Faith in God(faith being and action word and not a "I BELIEVE" word, Baptism by immersion(not by sprinkling and only when one is capable of sinning)
Didn't he tell us to repent (turning away from sin completely asking forgiveness of all offended parties including God) and to depend upon his sacrifice/ atonment to cleanse us of our sins.
You are right we shouldn't persecute others but we shouldn't give up our beliefs either by giving up our institutions which have made our civilization viable. Our constitution[of the united states of america] happens to have been written by very imperfect christian men and is based upon christian principles. It is not a perfect document but it has worked far better than anything any other civilization has come up with in human history.
Homosexual behavior is a biological and social dead end, abortion is also a biological dead end. how do you propose we continue the propogation of the race( humanity) when this type of behavior is encouraged? Hmm stinks of Nihilism to me- didn't Hitler promote that Ideology? Seems to be working swell for china, europe and japan- who, by the way will have no way of supporting a population of old people because there will not be enough YOUNG people to work and pay taxes because they didn't have enough children or any children at all.
I have a an uncle who practices homosexual behavior but I don't argue with him about it. I am sure he has been admonished about it, he knows what is right and wrong. I consider him a friend and hope he will stop his behavior.
I would guess that at least 90% of christians don't know or understand 99% of what their religious sect teaches except they need to go to church on christmas and easter. This is sad but it is probably the clearest answer for your question. Those who call themselves "christians" just don't know how to really be a christian. Or what they learn is so warped and twisted from the true intent of the Gospel of Jesus Christ as taught by Him and His Prophets and Apostles that all they ever learn is to hate those non-christian practitioners of evil, blah, blah.
I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and I strive to learn it and live by it all seven days of the week. I am not perfect and find myself saying, thinking and doing things I regret immediately or later. But I know the Atonement of Jesus Christ works and works only if I change my behavior and ask forgiveness and follow through.
I hope you will consider what I have told you. feel free to write.

Unfortunately, most Christians do not read the bible. What they do know of it, someone choose to highlight it for Sunday to preach to them. If they really read and understood what they believed in, and some do, then their approach to the whole matter would be quite different.
