It's like when Owen Hart's mother threw in the towel for Bret. When a manager throws in the towel than the person has given up and therefore relinqueshes the title. Simple as that.

I don't know about wrestling or the transfer of a title - but if the manager threw in the towel, I think that ends the reign.

you are absolutly right. BOB BACKLUND champ then and in my book will always be a champion. noone has ever done that! until someone does (probably never) he's a champ.

if the towel is threw in you lose. The towel is a way your manager can stop the match because he feels his man may be to hurt to go on.

You don't have to only be pinned or tap out in order to lose the match or championship. If your manager throws in the towel, then that's it, you lose.

Absolutely not. He was beaten via pinfall during his second title reign. In fact, he was beaten in 8 seconds by Disel (Kevin Nash). Therfore, that should negate the whole thing.
