I signed up for My Space today. Signed up and everything was all good. Problem is when I typed in my email address, I forgot a number that is in it by mistake. I tried to delete the whole ID and start over but it sent those emails to close it to someone else's email address. I cannot retrieve them. I have emailed MySpace and they have not gotten back to me. Because I was unable to access that email, I had to send them the email I wanted it changed to and my password. Anyone know what I can or should do to fix it? This other person is getting emails of mine by mistake. Help me out please, BTW, I did not fill in my profile, pictures or anything, until I get this fixed....

Forget the id, setup a new account even if you have to use a newly made email to do so. After you get set up just change your email address to the one you want. Myspace will not be getting back to you anytime soon. If you stop messing with the current one the other person will stop getting the emails. Another way to find out is to email the person you think the emails are being set to. If the email comes back to you then its not a vaild account. If they do respond tell them what happened and ask them to plaese click the link in the email to cancel the account.

I would suggest doing two things.
First, create an new account using your correct email address, then delete as much info as possible from the wrong account.
Second, if you know the incorrect email address, send then an email asking if they can forward the info to you from MySpace to delete your account.
Don't depend on MySpace customer service, I had a service request in for 5 months and it never did get answered, I had to delete and recreate almost my entire profile to fix one issue.

Try changing everything on your account first, or delete it. You ought to get a friend who is good w/ Myspace to come over to your house and look at it for you.

Why dont you just sign up for a different account? If another person got the information, then Im sure they did not send them your password. They probably just got a confirmation.
Just setup another account. If you need another account, I can help you get it.

there is a good chance the address you typed in is not a real address and those emails are going no place at all, and may even be returned to the my space admin as undeliverable. i would not worry about it at this point

If you don't activate your account myspace may just delete it after a number of days. You should check their term and conditions.

well if you remember the "wrong" e-mail address where all your messages are going, try sending a message to it explaining what happened. Perhaps they will send you what you need.
