No, it doesn't really happen, but for 3-4 hrs you will start getting hunger pains. I know this isnt part of the question, but anyway, you should skip your dinner. cuz you will wake up in the middle of the night with this terrible, terrible hunger pain, you will also get the cramps in your upper abdomen, plus worst of all you will pull a few muscles. its really painful.

I don't think it is a normal reaction to have cramps, whether you eat or not. Maybe you have irritable bowel syndrome. That sometimes causes cramps and is attributed to emotional and other stresses in your life. It would be nice to be able to discuss this with an older family member, who would really take you seriously. Try looking it up on the internet. At least, you would know if you have the symptoms.

A hello - you gotta address what the cramps are from? Dude, if they are menstral then all that stuff won't matter. If they are from dehydration then you best be drinking water if you want to eliminate the chance of having them, usually it is from lack of hydration or potassium in which case eat banannas and drink pickle juice - good luck!

Advil and midol always work too!

not necessarily. ive done that and not gotten cramps.
