It all started with Pele who at 17 (100 days short of 18) won his first World Cup in 1958, styling his magic feet. He is the equivalent to what Cassius Clay aka Muhammed Ali was to Boxing. Since 1958 Pele brought 3 wins up to 1970, afterwards Brazil continued to win 2 additional World Cups for a total of 5, the most any other country has won was 3, Italy and Germany, and 2 Argentina and Uruguay. Also the fact that this World Championship is played every 4 years, makes a great significance on the odds that Brazil could win 5 times playing against 31 different selected countries every 4 years is a big deal!

The Real Answer is that they obey the rules of soccer. They don't cry and take dives on unreasonable fouls. They rarely commit fouls that gets them a red card. They are media friendly. In which they aloow reporters to come to their trainning sessions. But the main reason is because they are the best of the best you can call it. Every part of the country has their own style of soccer. But Brazil's style gets the almighty W. Ans that is a win! They are good for many reasons. The Main one is Samba. If you can dance samba then you can move you feet at a rapid pace. Rthym plays a huge part of soccer. You either got it or you don't. And thats why they have those amazing ball skills. And well of course they play Futsal 24-7! haha

yes Brazil won 5 cups and everybody jumps on the bandwagon. Think about this - if Baggio didn't send the ball into outer space in 1994, Italy and Brazil would both be tied with 4 wins. They are an awesome team, but they should have won 10 cups by now they way they are hyped.

Not everybody likes Brazil, they just know that the brazilians are good and favorite to win the cup. I dont like Brazil that much and I was born in S. america. I usually go for unknown teams that are making their way up by winning over the big teams like Brazil.
My personal favorite is Peru

Because the Brazilians are the most stylish team in the tournament (when they're in form) with the best squad. Ronaldinho is the most marketable player in the world. They've also got Kaka, Ronaldo, Adriano, Robinho, Juninho Penambucano, Cafu, Roberto Carlos, and a bunch of other players who are exciting to watch. While England is busy trying to get Peter Crouch to score, Brazil's play is creative and exciting, which is why Ronaldinho is in all those "Joga Bonito" commercials.

Everybody likes Brazil in soccer not b/c they are the best team in the world, but b/c of how they play. They play just like they dance they have this style of soccer that is envied by many teams in the world. When they play u can't hold ur cheers to urself, ur soccer spirit just rushes out and spurts out cheers and OLE OLE OLE everytime ronaldinho touches the ball. To watch brazilian soccer is like riding a rollercoaster u just have that funny feeling in ur stomach and u just wanna scream!!

Well it's obvious why Brazilians like them 'cause they're from Brazil lol. But people like them 'cause they play well and have very skilled players. They have won the most World Cups and they deserve to be champions. But I'm not too crazy about them. I would love to see Italy or England win it this time.

One phrase: "Jogo Bonito". Of course not e-v-e-r-y-b-o-d-y likes the verdeamarela team, but I think most of the futbol fans at least would like to see a game involving Brazil. The only time I don't cheer for them is when they play my Country's team, and even then, I enjoy their almost artistic drive of the ball. It's like they prepare for the games at Cirque du Soleil.

Because technically they have a lot of skill with the ball and are fun to watch. They also have the greatest history in football in terms of being in every single World Cup and for winning 5 of the 17 of them.
