There are many types of tree frogs, and some are very poisonous. Some make interesting pets if you are able to provide for their needs. Get a book on the subject, they have to be fact checked while anyone can write anything on the internet. If you go to a bookstore and ask the employees they can give you one.

I love tree frogs... as far as I know there are no poisonous "tree frogs" but there are poisonous frogs that live part of their lives in trees... lol. It's a technicality... Anyway, they can be a lot of fun. But they bark, loudly! So you might want to have a special place in your home for them, like a separate unairconditioned room, or even the bathroom with a/c vents shut! Mine loved the bathroom and would bark every time I took a shower. They are insectivores and love crickets... the smaller ones need smaller crickets. Once in a while you can let the crickets drink amph/reptile vitamin powder soaked sponges of water. Frog vitamins go in crickets, crickets go in frogs... Also they need to climb. I had mine (about five large hyla cinerans) in a rather small plastic pet carrier with dry branches and fake plants sticking up and out halfway up to the ceiling all enclosed by a big green mesh laundry sack. The frogs were always up in the branches, pretty, green and happy. You might want to mist them regularly too.

Poisoneous frogs are poisioneous due to the insect they eat in the rainforest. They will not be poisioneous eating crickets.
