Normal is established by the great majority. If 75 people of out 100 dress in white and only 25 dresses in colors, those in white, dress normal. If 20 out of 200 people eat anything else but the eggs for breakfast, that would be considered ubnormal. The norm has been established by what the majority did.

I guess there's ALL sorts that make the world, so there is no characteristic which EVERYONE has. There might be a "normal" range of thinking patterns, for psychiatric health purposes though - to diagnose mental illness.
Imperfection is normality. So an example of a global phenomenon which you ask about is imperfection. Everyone's imperfect. Everyone has the imperfection of mortality, at the very least!

An act of self preservation is normal. If an organism (person) does an act that does not promote self preservation, then you have room for discussion.
Self sacrafice in order to preserve a greater number or perceive greater belief may be normal.
Self sacrafice for no such greater good is not normal.

No you cannot define normal. The world is so different in many ways that to say that anyone is normal, is weird.

There's no such thing as normal in this world, normal is used by people to convince themselves that they are not ******-up as everybody else. Norms are based only on human standards, to which a majority of people agreed upon something.

We can easily define "abnormal" better, but these is such a wine window on "normal", you won't get a plurality, much less a concensus.
