First of all you and your boyfriend should not be trying to get pregnant until you've become man and wife. Second you are most fertile before you start you cycle not after. Third, you should visit your physician because it sounds like you have a medical reason for your irregular periods and them lasting so long.

Hi Chimia,
This same thing happened to me, I would get my period once then not for a couple months then two times in a row then none for like 5 months. I was on birth control for awhile but I got off of it 2 augusts ago. I ended up getting pregnant july of last year, and now have a beautiful baby girl. My advice is just keep trying all the time. Dont wait for any specific time. You ovulate the week before your period so maybe try the around that time. Good luck!

The doctor may be recommending the birth control to even out your period. Then when you go off of the birth control, it may make it easier to conceive. However, if you have any question as to whether you are already pregnant, take a pregnancy test before taking any birth control.

you wanna have a baby with youy boyfriend? shouldnt you guys get married? I understand wantign tohave a kid, I don't want them myself but I know plenty of people who do, and they are a HUGE financial investment. I have a friend who has a child because of her own stupidity and she is unmarried and it is so hard for her. What happens if you DO get pregnant, and your boyfriend leaves you? This leaves you in a very uncomfortable and financially unstable situation. I think you should think about this a lot more before you have a baby with a boyfriend, no matter how much you think you love each other, children change everything.

you might be pregnant now. you can go to a doctor. if you feel uncomfortable with a male doctor giving you the test you can ask 4 a girl doctor. or you can got to a store and buy a test.

first of all you should be asking your dr this, not yahoo. you obviously have abnormal menstral cycles and either need to get it regulated first or buy an ovulating monitor.
