ok, I have nothing against makeup or anything but why when you are ,let's say, getting dressed up (like for a ball, wedding,etc..) you put on so much make-up. If you ask me, when you do dress like this put on make up but not so much, trust me less make up is better....just my though, God bless you all.

Aww!! I agree, alot of girls mask their true beauty because they feel ugly without makeup. Me personally, like to put on very little makeup because I'm scared that if people see me on an "off" day, they will see me (no makeup) and be scared !! Part of this self-image has to do with how comfortable the girl is w/herself and confidence. When ever you see movie stars (women) without makeup, its horrible because people are used to seeing this "mask" instead of the real them. I think that makeup can help a girls' complextion, but, when they put on too much, they may break out or look fake. To a wedding, I think that a girl can let loose and play the makeup a lit bit (not too much!!).
But, for every day occasions, pure is better and "dermologist tested" makeup should be used lightly. Mineral makeups add a "glow" but doesnt look fake or kill your skin. Physicians Forumla or Bare Minerals are great!(tell a sis or g.friend)
Hope this helps!!!

I agree, less is better. I know what you are saying though about getting made up - over done. I was at a friend's wedding (one of the bridesmaid) and she had a professional come and do our hair and make up. I took one look in the mirror and washed my face. I looked like a clown! I reapplied my own make up in my normal style (a little foundation - to even the skin tone and hide that pesky zit on my nose - didn't want to look like Rudolph! -, a dash of blush and masscara) and since it was a wedding I added a little eye shadow. After the wedding I got so many compliments on the dress, hair and make up. My favorite was "You didn't even look like you were wearing make up!" That's my motto when it come to make up - "don't look like I have make up on." Most days I don't even bother with make up.
Thanks for your comments. It is nice to get affirmation from a gentleman.

Some women NEED more makeup than others, or they feel they do, anyhow. The older we get, the less great our skin is & since society is so tough on you if you don't look like a supermodel 24/7
well, CoverGirl & Maybelline become our very best friends!! lol
When it's the weekend & I'm home alone, no makeup gets used, I promise. Not a pretty sight, but since I'm just scrubbing the bathroom, who cares!! good question & fun - thanks!!!

Okay, God bless you for feeling we don't need make-up. But when there is a big event, we want to look our best and make-up is just like another accessory. But I agree with you that no one should wear so much make-up that they look like a clown.

very sweeeeet! my hubby feels the same way! though i hardly wear any, i feel the same way when i see women who can do a better job applying makeup. it is upsetting that females don't love themselves without the makeup.
God Bless u too for such a sweet thing to say.

Not all women apply too much make-up. If yo know someone who does so, tell them they have too much on. I wouldn't be offended, some people might. Too much make-up is just a sign of uneducation in make-up application.

you are completely correct and if you can't help putting on so much at least use more natural colors instead of drastic colors.!!!
