does anyone know a faster route than i-35 from fort hood to houston?

Take US 190 to Bryan/College Station. Then take Texas 6 to Hempstead. Then take US290 into Houston.

I-35 doesn't even go to Houston.

Google says to take 190 to 36 to 79 to 6 to 290 into the city.

Hit Hwy 183, to Austin, then 290 to houston.
