Yes and who ever thinks they will be the next Zarqai will end up like him, Uday, Qusay, or better yet like Saddam. I really wish Zarqai had lived - just imagine the intel we could get from him. Liberals will never face the truth.

If you want to determine success based on body count, you’re in the wrong war. This is not national army against national army, rather, it is a war of ideologies without national boundaries or front lines. Success is determined by acceptance of the people of a region.
Which one is it that directly attacks the civilian populace by policy? Clearly Al Qaeda is the one attacking civilians by policy. Even though the people of Iraq are likely aware of this, that doesn’t mean they will easily support the allies. They must be confident that the allies will stay the course and bring Iraq to the point of controlling its own future.
This latest success with the killing of Zarqai and the capture of records has hurt Al Qaeda deeply, but now is the time to demonstrate commitment to the people of Iraq.

Well al-Qaeda never would have been in Iraq in the first place had we not invaded in such a reckless fashion: based on false pretexts and without a plan for the future. Why do conservatives forget about that?

Al Qaeda is about as much on the run in Iraq as the Mexican community is in the U.S. That is that they have defined their status and are taking a stand.

They have been hiding since the start of the war, they lose a substantial amount of men every day, which is why they need new foreign fighters to replace them (mainly from egypt, syria, and other parts of the arabian peninsula).

he received't quite leave Iraq. i do not imagine he will besides. He is familiar with if he leaves, and Iraq is going to hell, he loses re-election. i'd also anticipate he's familiar with that if the coalition leaves too early, Iraq WILL bypass to hell. what is going to they do - terrorize the inhabitants, create a authorities outfitted on concern, intimidation, and ethnic cleansing of communities they disagree with, and, like Saddam, spouse with the UN to grant them money, that's then funnelled to terror communities.

I'd like to say yes but, prolly not even close. We can make it harder for them to do things but, until the people that live there view them as a "bad" thing we will never clean that place up totally.

50 more Iraqi Killed today, more of our solders killed today, what do you think, George Bush is the one that is wrong as he lied to take us to war in the first place. 2500 of our guys 10's of thousands of Iraqi's dead for no good reason. None, notta, zilch. What it is time for is for you to open your eyes and just see what has happened to America since Bush was appointed.

Yeah but we all know another head will pop up. I think terrorism is just growing all over and we can only hope to slow it down.
