I'm seriously afraid of these things because they are so big. I live near some woods, so once in a while bugs get in through cracks in doors and the wall. Spiders don't bother me but these things freak me out and I won't go near them. Any ideas for exterminating them, aside from just killing each one I see? Like a repellent maybe?

they make pesticides you can get from home depot or lowes

You can also try glueboards, if it's in an area without children/pets. Available at hardware stores, Wal-Mart, grocery stores, etc.
(You do have to go and retrieve the glueboards though - which means getting near the dead ones).

i know kmart,walmart,and home depot have a number of repellents in their home and garden section,You may want to look there or do a search on the web for it.
