You are 13, honey! There will be plenty of time to concern yourself with boys later when you are older and wiser. Enjoy being a kid while you can because before you know it you'll be out of high school, out of college and working for a living dealing with life as an adult.
But if you really like him and want to spend more time with him just let him know you're interested in subtle ways -always smile and look happy when you're around him and do little things to get his attention. Ask him to help you with whatever homework you have, stuff like that. Don't make yourself too available, but don't play too hard to get.
And this is just some friendly advice from an older woman: a lot of teenage boys have one thing on their mind and don't ever let a boy talk you into doing something you don't want to do. Be smart and be safe.

He obviously doesnt really think you like him. I am a guy and if I was him I would want you to talk to me either over AIM or phone. You do have to work up the courage to talk to him sometime and maybe go out with him. Like on a "freindly gathering". If he isnt stupid he will take the hint and either like you or not.
Hope that helps
PS. Whoevver is the idiot above me saying WHY HANG OUT WITH A GUY WHO SAYS HAGS!... HAGS means Have A Great Summer. You twit

Just talk to him. Normal everyday conversational stuff. Make a point of seeing him at least once a day, even if just to say "Hi!" dont be a pest. If he doesn't respond in a friendly manner in the first couple of days, back off and try again the following week. At some point, if you are not getting the responses you want, you may have to give it up as a lost cause.

He's probably shy. I didn't have any gfs, when I was 13, but that's mostly due to where I went to school, I think. Drop some subtle hints, and assure him that your interest in him is, purely friendship and that you like him.

I say this all the time. The universal connector for any teen is music. Find out what both of you like, talk about it, invite him to concerts. Flirt a lot while disscussing this with him.

why don't you try talking to him this summer? if you wait all summer he may have found someone else because he wasn't sure what you were thinking. summer's a great time to get together. no school! go out on a limb.

Have respect for yourself. If you have confidence in yourself other people will notice. If this guy notices, great. If not, move on and someone else will. But be patient and always be real.
