Not at all, unless you are allergic to it or you have very sensitive skin. It can cause spots but only if you don't take it off before bedtime. Remember to cleanse and moisturize to keep your skin nice.

You may have noticed mineral makeup available in most stores or on-line, now. Mineral makeup is actually good for the skin and protects the skin from sun damage. We have a lot more choices nowadays when it comes to makeup. I try to stick with reputable brands and read the ingredients. It is what's in it that may hurt your skin. Ask questions at the cosmetic counter or consult with a licensed esthetician a day spa. A good esthetican can give you great makeup advice. Most day spas offer clients makeup applications and makeup lessons. What you put under makeup is also important - namely sunblock. Proper makeup removal is equally important as is using cleansers, toners and moisturizers that are right for your skin type.

Yes, make-up can hurt your skin. Make-up clogs pores and prevents the skin from breathing, which can lead to breakouts if not removed correctly. To avoid this try using an all natural foundation like Bare Essentuals which is made from pure minerals like finely crushed rock. Or use an OIL free foundation as the oil clogs worse than anything. Remember: a liquid foundation IS NOT neccesary and will cost you more than it is worth! Always use a dry powder foundation, it allows the skin to breathe better and provides all the coverage needed. The goal of a foundation is not to hide your skin but to even it out.
And be sure to remove all make-up before you go to bed to prevent breakouts. Start off using a moisterizing make-up remover (remember many make-up removers dry out skin) , then wash your face with a deep cleanser and then add a skin type appropriate moisterizer.

It can if you use too much and don't care for your skin. I.E.: Don't sleep with makeup on, it can clog your pores and cause more pimples. And especially don't eye makeup, although it doesn't hurt your skin, it can give you really bad eye infections when it builds up under your eyelids.
I see people saying that it's not bad at all, and it really can be if not taken care of properly. Always wash it off carefully and use skin care products to kepe your skin looking good!

Makeup clogs your pores if you use the wrong makeup.... My recommendation is use bare essentials make up it is a ultra thin powder....I know several people who had supper bad acne and use that brand it has improved their skin greatly....
I do not use make up on a regular basis...Only when I have a blemish, but suffocating your face with makeup is not the answer...

It can if it clogs the pores. If you are acne-prone, buy only foundation that says "non-comedogenic" or at least "oil free". AND, most importantly, wash it off every single day.
