The Universe cannot be infinite, because it is expanding, which points to its origin where everything began at the same point, namely the singularity of the Big Bang. Therefore, if it is expanding, it is bounded.
However, it is thought that it probably doesn't have an edge, much like the Earth doesn't have an edge. If you started in a spaceship and went in a straight line, you would eventually end up where you started, much like if you started at the North Pole and went in a straight line, you would end up back the North Pole.
The reason: although you would be going in a straight line on the 2-D surface of the Earth, that line is curved in the 3rd dimension. So, if spacetime is curved in the 4th dimension, you could be going in a straight line 3 dimensionally, but it would be curved 4th dimensionally.

Just something to consider.
The universe, as we know it, has no beginning and no end, whether it exists in one state or another, despite theories put forth by mankind (big bang, string, creationism, intelligent design, etc...)
Consider every time we build a better telescope or other probing insturment and point it at the blankest, emptiest spot in the sky we seem to find it filled with more galaxies and other things at greater distances and times.
Matter and energy were not created from nothing, have always been and always will be and cannot be destroyed or brought into a nonexistent state. This, as far as I know, is a widely accepted principle among the scientific and educated community.
Upon this widely accepted principle I firmly assert the following - Our existence as free willed, creative, conscious and intelligent beings has no beginning and no end and is continually progressive, considering we are coexistent with the universe as beings possessing a body composed of matter and energy and may I suggest - intelligence. As such, the idea of entropy, would be but a temporary condition of our current state of existence.
Were it true that matter and energy could be made nonexistent we may logically assume that we have a beginning and because of this we must needs have an end. What a terribly depressing and ugly thing. Were this true all of our struggles to explore and control our environment would be vain. Why should we continue to live if we knew for sure there was eminent termination of our very conscious intelligence and the universe we exist in?
I would rather believe there is a universe without an end and that I would continue to exist and as such continue to progress towards a greater existence that would allow me to learn and explore all I ever wanted to know.

Hmm.What if we are in a giant invisible 4th dimensional jar.Sort of like the city of Kandor at the Fortress of Solitude in the old superman comic books? What if the galaxies were just condensed material on the inside surface? Then the universe would be finite.
Seriously, they say the universe is finite and the only question is whether there is enough material in it to give it enough gravity for it to stop expanding and start imploding back in on itself.I think that actually has been resolved but I can't remember the answer.

Assuming that standard physics is correct, the simple answer is that the maximum it can be is roughly a sphere with a radius equal in light years to the time the universe has been in existence, or approximately 13.8 billion. The only thing that can change in this scenario is the shape not being a sphere. If you are looking for any other answer then you are really asking for speculation about what might be beyond what we can see. The multi-verse idea is a prime example of this type of speculation.

All things are limited in the universe by physics. And since all things are in the universe, that means that the universe as a whole is limited in it's size and expansion. The limits of the universe are expanding, but eventually that energy that is causing the expansion will run out.

Why is it impossible for something to be infinite? Numbers can continue on for an infinite amount of numbers. You can always add 1 to any number and it gets larger. It isn't like numbers will reach some point and just stop. I think the universe can be infinite.

The universe has no boundaries but it is finite. Think of it like the surface of the earth. Its only so big but you can't just walk off the face of the earth. If you walk long enough in a straight line you end up where you started, same for the universe.

Nobody knows the limit of the universe yet because we haven't traveled that far into space, yet, to find out. With the satellites being sent into space, they just might send one far enough to find out if there is an end to the universe or not. It is possible that they might do this in our life time, Then maybe not.

Yes, the Universe is infinite. At least, to us it is. We can't reach the end, no matter how hard we'll try.
And "the 10 dimensions", I assume you are referring to the string theory.

seriously speaking... the limit of universe is from one end to the other.although this keeps changing due to the fact that it is continuously expanding.
What is beyong the universe boundry is something I will answer once I am back from there.
