I was a Psych major at UCLA, but anyone can tell you that the Rorschach is not a form of therapy, but a way to find out what's going on in your head. By having you respond to the shapes, it's supposed to cut through your conscious defenses and let you give clues to what currently important. This helps the therapist when you're not sure of what your real problems are, or when your unwilling to say.

...is your cup half full, or half empty? Perception is the crux of making sense of a collective reality. Your perception of an ink blot definitely can tell the doc what wheels are turning in your brain. I say go for it! Maybe set a time limit--I mean, see the shrink for a while, and follow the recommendations, and then move on...life is a smorgasbord...try some personal development courses...they're pretty liberating.
