Many people hunt edible mushrooms in public parks, state parks and wildlife areas, and national forests. All are public lands, but some may prohibit the harvesting of the flora and fauna ... including mushrooms. Check the park regulations before you harvest these treasures.

I don't know where you are in Virginia, but you might try the produce section at Ukrops Grocery Stores - if they don't stock
them, ask the manager to order some for you. They are very accomadating like that. Also, try any of the natural foods stores; they usually have a lot of vegetarian customers & will carry a wide assortment of mushrooms. I'm in Richmond -
