The zoo is pretty good.
I would also head down to St. Augustine, it's not far at all (less than an hour) and well worth the time.
If you head north a bit you could got to Georgia and visit some of the islands there. Savannah is only 2.5 hours away.

There is St.Augustine, it is not far from there. There is also amelia island which is wonderful.
