This is what I have to say about tattoos. Honey, you can get Hepatitis C from it. It is the most rampant cause of cirrhosis of the liver. There is a treatment for Hepatitis C, but only 50% of those infected will respond to given treatment; the rest get liver disease and die. We found out 2 weeks ago that my husband has it. It's no small matter. I hope for your sake that you choose not to get the tattoo; it's just not worth it. :(

Additional Note: A lot of people say it's fine if you get it done at a sanitary professional place. What they don't tell you is it doesn't matter how sanitary it is because part of the ink that is used goes back into the ink vials. To show you what I mean...imagine drinking out of a straw. Part of the liquid in the straw goes back into the glass when you are finished. It may be a very small amount; however, it is the same concept with the clean needles and ink vials when people get tattoos. Once you get Hepatitis C you have to get interferon shots 3 times a week for 6-18 months and there is no guarantee that it will work or that you won't relapse. It's so sad that my husband has this. We have an appointment set up with his doctor in a couple weeks to go over his treatment plan. I think people that get tattoos are crazy!!!!

You are 15? By law you aren't even old enough to get a tattoo and probably shouldn't make such a harsh decision until you are old enough, you could get the person giving the tattoo into ALOT of trouble if you were found out. Plus Tattoos can be something you might regret when you get older. However when you do get older I don't see why you shouldn't have a tatt of something you truly love, like your dog! A tattoo is a form of expression purely based on the person with whom is wearing the tattoo. Keep it in mind for the future but I suggest you wait until you decide what you want to do with your life. In many professions they are severely frowned upon.

At 15 you are too young to be legally tattooed. This won't necessarily stop you, but it does mean that anyone prepared to do it will be REALLY dodgy - if they have to tattoo minors to earn a living then they're almost certainly going to be a sh*t tattoo artist.
All that aside, go get a few tattoo magazines, they mostly feature pictures folk have sent in, some of which will be so-called "realistic" tattoos, portraits of babies, famous people and yes, pets. At least 99% of those tattoos look absolutely nothing like what/who they're supposed to, it takes a VERY skilled artist to do decent tattoo portraits, and those are very few and far between, and justifiably expensive.

NO NO NO honey. No please you are so young. If I got the tattoos I wanted when I was your age I would be crying right now! LOL

Im 22 years old, almost 23 and I have yet to get my first tattoo.

Think about what you REALLY want in a tattoo. Then get a picture of it. Then hang it on your wall for a WHOLE YEAR. If you still like it, then get it.

I have been sitting on this design I want for over a year now. I have my drawing and since my year mark is up Im going to start talking to artists and getting estimates, viewing portfolios, etc. FUN STUFF!

Make SURE its what you really want. I waited a whole year, you can too.

You are 15 and you may end up having many dogs you love A LOT. You can't tattoo them all on your body... well, I guess you could but it wouldn't look very good. If you want to memorialize your dog, take a nice picture of him and buy a great "dog" frame for it and hang it in your bedroom and you can hang it up in your living room when you get your own place so everyone can see and remember your great dog!

I really don't think that you should. I understand that you love him but wait a couple years and then decide. I have a tattoo from when I turned 16, I wish that I wouldn't have done it. Now that I'm in the corporate world, it is so hard to cover it up and still look professional.

Only tattoos on the lower back, above the butt are called tramp stamps. Basically the saying came about because... it's something for a guy to look at or "aim for" when doing a girl from behind. Rude yes, means your a tramp no, it's more of a joke... I have one and I kid that it's a tramp stamp. Anyhow, that's what it is and why it's called that.

my opinion is no. you are 15 and it will look very tacky for you or any guy to have a tattoo of their dog. when you are old enough for a tattoo, put alot of thought into what you are going to get and where! when you start to work, you will not want your employers to see your tattoos. discretion is key!

No you are way to young anyway to get a tattoo. Why waste skin on your dog, and keep in mind that you can never take it off.

NO!! You really need to think about a tatoo before you get it. Don't forget it is something that you will most likely have on your body for the rest of your life so you should really put some thought into it. Don't get me wrong I am not against tatoos, in general, I have 4 of them but you should really think before you ink!!!
