i'm going to nyc in july and i am planning to see wicked, rent, and beauty and the beast.
are there any others out that are worth my time? =]
note: i'm 14 years old but i am a big theatre geek. i sing at a professional level so please do not just recommend me things for my 'age' group.

Well, Rent is a wonderful story, and I just saw Wicked last week, it was very well done too. I saw the Producers on broadway (with Broderick and Lane), and it was great fun. I've seen Mamma Mia, Man of La Mancha, Aida, Les Miz, Hairspray, Lion King and would recommend any of them.

I'm very happy to hear that you love the theatre! I do as well and travel to New York and London often for shows.
My all-time favorite is Phantom of the Opera and I would highly recommend that. But I also like Les Miserables and Miss Saigon, if they're available.
Enjoy New York!

I think ALL the shows on Bway are great right now. I work in ticket sales and I think that if you want to see Wicked in July you better buy ASAP. The other shows you have listed should be okay.

My big recommendation is Drowsy Chaperone.

O MAN.. u totally need to see RENT!!!
GOOD CHOICE!!! RENT AND WICKED ROCK!!!!
i too am 14 & i luv musicals.
('cept i prefer to make the music than to sing to it)
U HAVE @ SEE CATS!!!!!!!
it may be a little wierd, but the choreography is AMAZING!!!!!
if u haven't seen the Lion King, go see it.
Sure, it may seem a little juvinile, but trust me. I've seen it 2 TIMES! the choreography is amazing, and the sets are spectacular.
Phantom of the Opera is great...
Le Mis,
Chicago,
Avenue Q is funny but EXTREMELY innapropriate.
Personally, i like the clasics... Fiddler on the Roof...u know...
Um.. i dunno if it's on or off broadway,.. buy if u like musicals, i would totally recomend LITTLE WOMEN. I love that musical.
It has great music to it, and if u like 2 sing, the songs are great 2 sing to.
Good luck in NYC!

There is no better Broadway musical the Phantom of the Opera. It involves passion, love, frightful things. It is a great play, it is more than a play, it is the Phantom of the Opera.

Rent's brilliant. the film, not so much. Rosario Daswon subbing for Daphne Rubin-Vega was a travesty.
