Already the USA is getting ready to cut and run. ( Information from Selfridge ANG Base in Michigan ) The USA will pull out of Iraq in about 18 months. All troops will paint a yellow streak down their spine just before they cut and run. Pretty much like the day they left Vietnam on 30th April 1975.

If they leave it will not be fear but just politics. it is too costly to win and their really is no way to say when you have won and there really is no upside to staying until the USA is flat broke and vulnerable to financial woes that will defeat it faster than any terrorist attack. enuff is enuff already. we made our point so now lets pick up our marbles and go back home and prepare for the enxt idiots that dares attack us. let the damn IRAQs all kill each other.
We could not win in Vietnam either so had to quit. not all wars are winable. some are just stupid waste of time and money and lives.

I will believe that, when the President says that live. His whole second term relies on the out come of Iraq, and until he is voted out of office the troops will not leave. Much like the Vietnam war but there was nothing yellow about what those guys do. The troops don't cut and run *****. They obey orders from commanders, and when they are ordered to stay, they do. If the political party in power wants to end the war and the orders are given down through the chain of command they will leave.
BUT OUR GUYS RUN FROM NOTHING ASSHOLE!

Give them some respect, D!ck.

No we're not, you don't listen to very many political debates, do you? We're staying as long as they need us to stay. When the Iraqi government is able to gain control and keep it, then we will leave. "Getting ready to leave" is not the same as actually leaving. You know how long it takes the military to do anything. They have millions of tons of men and equipment to move and there has to be lots of prior planning.

Iraq and VietNam have nothng to do with each other. They are two totally seperate issues. Neither the government, nor the people of VietNam were cooperative to our help. Whereas in Iraq the people WANT the government to succeed. They WANT peace and freedom for their families. They've had an election and have officials in place. All they have to do now is learn how to gain control and keep it. Study your history so you don't make erroneous comparisons.

LMAO! Oh i love examining those responses. Oh definite, america of a attacked the non violent and probability free human beings of North Korea. obviously, never thoughts that the North Koreans were in Seoul, the capitol of South Korea. and evidently the probability free infantrymen of North Vietnam. They were merely lost, and in a roundabout way ended up in Saigon South Vietnam. i'm effective they were merely to embarassed to ask for guidelines. in short, distinctive the international isn't adverse to the US. although, some human beings would like others to imagine it quite is the case. the united kingdom continues to be helping in Iraq, as well as numerous different international locations. the in reality those who would win if the US would pull out of Iraq are the Fundamentalists who prefer to ruin each body who does no longer keep on with their severe view of Islam. in case you prefer to understand what Iraq would seem as if, seem at Afganistan 6 years in the past. obviously, in case you imagine women could don't have any rights then you absolutely could agree that the US could go away. Then females will be no longer some thing yet sources, freedom of religion gained't exist, and dissention will carry a death penalty. and there is distinctive land open in Iraq. a lot of land to open mass graves for all the Jews, Kurds, Christians, and one yet another non secular and ethnic minorities. because it quite is strictly what would ensue.

Because of the political pressure and because that's not what the us does and of course iraq will end up worse off then before. Dont you think political insurgencies will take saddams place and the new government will be rendered useless. I'd say the best course is to stay in Iraq and take all their resources. (Of course i was being sarcastic).

Because the course can't be stayed. We can't afford it financially or politically. It's too bad, because we're leaving the Iraqis in a horrible position worse than when we overthrew Saddam. There'll probably be a theocracy in place not long after we leave and we'll just have to invade again next time they start making nuclear weapons.

I think the real question is why are we still getting into BS wars for BS reasons. In Vietnam we told ho chi mihn that he could run the country after helping kick the japanese out of his country in WWII, then the french stepped in and said they wanted vietnam for the rubber trees they have there while he just sat by and let 'em do it. Ho chi mihn resisted the french and since he couldn't turn to us for help he turned to china. And the french couldn't hold out anymore they turned it over to us to fight the "evil" communists. As for Iraq, Bush has been wanting to take out Saddam since he tried to have Bush's dad, mom & brother killed in kuwait in '93, that and I'm assuming he just wants to have control of the country as part of gaining a foothold in the middle east. It sure as he** ain't to bring freedom to the greatful Iraqis.

it's because we never should have been there in the first place. and don't say "well we're just defending ourselves from 9/11." because that was our fault too. if H.W.kept his nose in his own business, we wouldn't be having a problem with Iraq today.

ROFL AND I BET JUST A FEW SHORT WEEKS AGO, YOU WERE ONE OF THE CRAZIES SAYING - WHY WON'T THE USA JUST GET OUT OF IRAQ! so many hypocrites on this site. please - we went with a purpose, we will finish the job, and when it is safe to leave, we will leave. no sooner and no later. just don't play both sides of the fence for the sake of angering people. that's juvenille.
