If I buy an Ipod, what kind of warranty does it come with? What fees are involved with warranty repair? Do I have to pay shipping?

Apple are kinda famous for their support. Generally tyou get 28 days 'apple care' for free when you buy a product from them. After that it is going to cost for product support. You will still be entitled to the same rights as everything else. If the product breaks and is unable to fulfil its purpose you are entitled to exchange/refund. The tricky bit of the law is that this must hapen within a'reasonable time period' What you can push that as is anyones guess. I would say that if it broke from no fault of yours in less than six of months you should have no problem getting it replaced/repaired. Apple make so many of these they ought to be able to replace them for the price of the call to their office.

If it breaks they are liable for shipping, you can even make them come and get it.

basically the warranty sucks, but what myself and several of my friends have done is when your ipod breaks, go back to the store around closing time and ask them what to do about the problem, and if you're lucky, they'll be too tired and lazy to help you and just give you a new ipod! good luck!

ipod warranty is an urban myth. whatever your problem is, it's not covered under warranty.
