Playing a lot of shows is the best and cheapest way. If you have a good set and really get the people into it and enjoying it, they'll listen to you. Outside of shows, add a lot of friends on myspace (just go through friends lists of similar bands in the area) and they'll listen to you.

Get a purevolume, and add tons of random ppl on myspace. put it in ur away message. Also stand outside shows and hand it to ppl who are leaving (prefferably shows playing the same type of music). if you dont want to hand out the cd hand out samples, or just flyers.

advertise it on yahoo answers. 5 times pr day while on level 1, 10 times pr day on level 2 .....
