You should see a doctor to be properly diagnosed, but yes, that sure does sound a lot like allergy to detergent. Same thing happened to me. It could also be your fabric softener sheets, if you are using those. As soon as I started using hypo-allergenic detergent and scent-free softener it stopped. Give it a try, what can it hurt?

I think you should try All's detergent that comes in a white bottle. Its liquid and free of dyes and hypoallergenic. My aunt has sensitive skin as well and can only use certain soaps and detergent and she said she's never had a problem with this detergent.

if nothing else has changed in your routine/life, chances are, yes, you are. I would stop using the detergent for a month and see if your condition improves. See your pharmacist for treatment of the condition til then (benedryl, maybe?).

Could very well be allergic to it. Is it powder (they are allowed to have certain amounts of impuities)? If so try a liquid. Also try a different brand, less of it and a second rinse.

YES!!!!!!!!! The first question a dermatologist would ask you is have you changed anything lately like detergent, soap, make-up, etc.
Go back to what you were using before.
