i'm looking for a singing competition in Oklahoma in the near future. If you know of any please let me know.

Check with the TV stations, fair boards, and colleges. There is a link below which may be useful. Then too, lots of bars and clubs have them from time to time (along with the wet-t-shirt and jello wrestling nonsense)--I read a while back that Barbara Striesand got her singing start from singing in a contest at a gay bar in NYC somewhere. The story said she had only sung in the shower but needed the prize money so she closed her eyes and sang her heart out and they all loved it. TV talent shows at state and county fairs sound like a better chance, and it is summer when the fairs are held. Good luck.
