There is no real advantage in giving your baby juice - whole fruit is much better and contains the fiber that juice lacks. Juice is also responsible for tooth decay - if you need to give your infant a drink, then opt for a little water. If you are nursing, though, then neither juice nor water are needed - breastmilk is sufficient.

Yogurt can be given to baby from 6 months - the cow's milk protein (which can cause allergies) is broken down in yogurt, which makes infants able to tolerate it. You shouldn't give it to your baby if there is a family history of milk allergy, though. Im a nutritionist

you have to wait until at least 6 months (just like all other food) but there is no reason to start giving it then
you should never give juice in a bottle (this includes any cup with a valve!!)
you have to dilute juce 1:1 or more
never give an infant more than 4 oz (150ml) of juice
water is a better drink for your baby (again after 6 months)
feeding them fruit is better than fruit juice (even 100% juice)
yogurt is fine from 6 months on as long it is plain (not diet and not with fruit on the bottom)
yogurt should be full fat not low fat for all children under 5 years of age
good luck

If you or your spouse have a history of allergy to food, then it is best to wait until your child reaches at least one year of age before giving him/her yogurt and any other dairy products. Fruit juices are fine at a young age (as long as you don't give the baby the kind of fruit that someone in your family has an allergic reaction too) but make sure that you dilute it with water so that it is not too sweet (and not too much sugar).

We had to be careful with my daughter because her dad was very allergic to milk and dairy products when he was a baby. We used soy formula, and later on, soy milk for her to use because she would throw up regular cow's milk. We only would give her apple juice (by the time she was 6 months we started giving it to her, and it had to be diluted and not more than 6 ounces a day - we didn't want her to stop drinking her formula), but we couldn't give her anything that has peach or mango or anything exotic because of allergy reasons. Now that she's 2, she has outgrown her intolerance to cow's milk and she loves chocolate milk, or just regular whole milk.We tried to give her orange juice once, but she prefers apple juice the best so that's what she takes.

NO JUICE!! Yogurt is ok after 9 months of age.

The reason for no juice is that babie need to fill up on their formula and/or breastmilk and the solids given to them and if they're getting juice, they're filling up on that instead of what they're supposed to.

The only exception to the no juice is for a constipation issue - then they can have 1 ounce of prune juice per month of age (in other words, a six month old can have up to six ounces) up to twice a day. This is to treat the constipation.

I don't know about citrus, you should ask your baby's doctor. You should wait until your baby is one year old before giving dairy. As with all food, give your baby one food at a time. Carrots this week, make sure their not allergic, then add bananas next week, and so on.

I started giving my son watered down juice at around 4 months, just so he didn't have to drink that yucky formula 24/7. And I started giving him yogurt at around 5-6 months. I don't think it's bad. But I would def water down the juice -don't give too much apple, it makes them poop, and just give little bits at a time to make sure there's no reaction.

I would wait until the baby reaches one year because acid in the fruit juices are not good for the baby and the baby cant handle that until it gets older.

It was my understanding as a mother of 5, it is good to follow your pediatrician's advice to hold off probably until at least 9 mos because most food allergies are caused early on by giving a child foods/drinks they aren't ready for...look out for rashes/eczema and other signs as this that your child's body is telling you something.

I'd say it's too much sugar. (Cows) Milk contains a lot of fat and hormones....I'd ask your doctor first.
