Is it more important to find the diversity in our commonality or the commonality of our diversity?

They are equally important. Diversity exposes us to new ideas, experiences, opinions, etc. while commonality reminds us that we're all in the together whether we like it or not.

It is good to recognize diversity, but to accomplish much of anything, it is necessary to overcome diversity an seek some common ground.

Commonality in our diversity. That is what brings people together.
