at 11, you need to understand that you're most probably just reaching puberty, or have just reached its doorstep. at this age, your skin is particularly sensitive, and a tad touchy, meaning, anything might send the oil glands and allergen armies into overdrive, leading to that horrible acne and scars. if you really have to put on make-up for appearances' sake, try going for the lightest formulations you can find, remembering to always do a skin test on a part of your face that's relatively hidden (so any reaction won't be as obvious till it subsides) before buying the product. if it's just for experimentation purposes, a lil' dab of lippy or gloss, and a touch of blusher should be sufficient to bring out the best of your beautiful early teen skin. remember that your skin at this age is at its best. try not to destroy it and set off the ageing process by torturing it with too much artificial chemicals. they aren't called chemicals for nothing, even the "100% natural" ones.

Well i'm 38, when i was youger i would go to school and put makeup on with my friends then my 3 older brothers would go home and tell on me i was 14 then, my mom never let me use it. well i'm thankfull for that cause i don't wear any make up now, so when i go somewhere special i will wear alittle mascara and lipstick and people can't beliveve how different i look that's only two things of makeup, when i wear it i like it for a little while but then can;t waite to take it off, my boyfriend doesn't like me with makeup, maybe just a tiny bit. I like the idea of it but not really then you have to wash your face really well ...... if you can stay away from it you will be happier in the end.... your face will love you for it ... people think i look better without makeup, MEEETOOO.......

well i started wearing makeup when i was 12. but now i feel like i have to wear it every single day no matter where i'm going or what i'm doing because it's a habbit. so personally, i would say to avoid it a little while longer...... i mean lipgloss or maybe a little bit of powder tops at age 11. also it will keep your skin younger and fresher for longer if you wait. i have some friends who didnt get into makeup until their early teens and because of that, they can pull off the whole 'natural' look with little to no makeup easily. don't worry hun, you'll have PLENTY of time to wear LOTS of makeup in your life

At age 11 its way too early. Unless it's for a wedding or some huge event then it's fine but for about everyday use no. I can tell you by experience. I know girls now who are a bit older then you who have gotten so dependent on make-up that they rather die then be seen without it. At age 11, you have tons of natural beauty and good skin that it's not worth messing up with make-up. Save it till you get older.

Maybe a little colored lip gloss at 11 but 13 is a good age but you should talk with your parents and ahve them take you for a free make over at the mall, like lancome or clinice
Good luck, 11 too early

look. 11 is a little bit to young to wear make up. I'd say wait till at least 13-14. For now, find some cute lip gloss or shimmery body glitter. You can still look cute, buy you don't want to try to look like u r 17 or it will look stupid. Trust me.

I have a sister who is 10 and she plays with makeup at her home but is not aloud to wear it out or to school. You shouldn't be worried about your looks at this age anyways. worry about school and getting your education. Makeup is only to look good for everyone else. and nomatter where you go in life and what ever you do, you will find friends. Get those grades so you are not like me. 24 years old and losing everything because I quit school and can't get a job worth anything because I didn't get a good education. Good Luck

I guess at your age it's okay to use eyeshadow, lip-gloss and blush (as long as it's okay with your parents).
PS. Use soft colors, strong ones will make you look like a mini-madonna (in case you didn't know, that's not good). Try not to use mascara (the stuff you put on your eyelashes), as it will damage your eye if it gets in. Try only wearing lip-gloss and a teeny bit of blush on normal days, save the eyeshadow for special occasions.
Have Fun! :)

Makeup will make your face age more quickly, sweetie. Avoid it as much as possible! If you must wear it, keep it to a minimum. Maybe a lil mascara and some gloss. Don't cake it on. It could also cause you to break out!
