Because its just the way they were raised and over 200 years ago minorities were used for slavery and were considered as people it started when indians were enslaved and they were killed off then when blacks were used it was their way of getting money so they considered them as property and were treated as such once we introduced to the industrial period mexicans were used to build railroads and to make a long story short they (racist) do believe in the American dream "that all men are created equally and are endowed by their creator"

some people are trying to make themselves feel better than someone else by putting them down, others just do it to fit in, some do it because they think it's funny, and others do it because they really think they're better than someone else because of where they're from.
