It was rather amusing. You may want to check out http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0327084/
As for previous comments stating that since the movie was compared to Shrek and Madagascar then it is the same makers, etc., This movie was made by Dreamworks as was Madagascar but they have different directors, writers, actors and quite a different setting.

Please! This is torture! NO MORE CGI MOVIES!!! They have completely replaced animated movies, the ones I grew up with (I was born in 1991, so I'm not that old). Did you know, Disney has completely shut down their cartoon department-that means that all of their big budget films will either be live action or CGI (Chicken Little, Meet the Robinson's). Now, Pixar I can enjoy, because their shots look so real, it sets them apart from all the Shrek wanna-bes out there. Plus, they were the original- Toy Story was the first feature length CGI movie. I can even stand Shrek, because it was the first CGI feature length that wasn't Pixar, not to mention it used all those big name actors for the voice overs. Ice Age is another good one. But it seems like all of them after that were simply trying to copy the success and design of Shrek-use A-list actors, crude jokes and stories involving animals or robots. I went to the movies the other day, and out of 7 previews, only one was live action (Santa Clause 3). All the rest were CGI. So in my opinion, no CGI movie is worth $9.95. If I were that interested, I would wait to rent it on video.

I took my 6 year old grandson twice and could not get in because it was sold out!. That has only happened to me one time in my life and that was the first week Jaws came out, back in about 73. I still have not seen "Over the Hedge" but I will buy it the minute it's released!

I didn't see it . Try going for a p-13 movie. Plus bring your own stuff to the movies. It is too expensive. Or go eat before the movie.

I haven't seen it but I know some kids that go to my church that have seen it and they loved it. They are talking about some character named Hammy. Ticket prices where I live are 4.50 and 3.00 for a small popcorn.

It was funny. We went to see it and don't even have little kids at home. See if you can find and earlier matinee showing; in Texas the feature film price is $7.50 - $8.00.
