Like lets say I was looking for a friend and clicked on their website. Can they find out that my computer clicked on their website?

Google is very nice about this.
The answer for this question is NO.
Ppl at Google are the cream of the crop (literally). They wouldn't make such a mistake.

I wouldn't say that there's NO way, but there is only one way I can think that they could find out you've been searching.
Let's say you google a name, and click on a link. If that link is that person's own web site, they could see that a click from google has come into their web site. They could also see what words were searched on and they could also see the IP address of who did the search and visited the site. Now, that is a lot to have happen, and they'd still have to be able to figure out that it was actually YOU at that IP address, but they could still find out.
Now, if you are only talking about searching, then the answer is no, but if you click on a link, all bets are off.

Actually, some can. It depends on their system and software and how they have things set up on the net. If they have an alert or watcher they will be notified each time they are googled. It depends.

only if they have a ghost program on puter that saves any keystrokes on puter.
Unless of course your talking about George W and he seems to believe he is God to us lowly Americans and then he has the 3rd eye so cant keep anything from him.....

I wouldn't bet that no one can find out. some of these programmers can do anything. but it would probably not be something the average hacker could do. i suspect the people that could do this probably have better things to do with their time.

depends on how smart the person is, they could have a program running on a server that flags everytime their name is searched on any major search enigine, if they wanted to, you don't the governement does?
